PJ JAX!
Jax is three years old, and one of his favorite TV shows is P.J. Masks. For his children's portrait session, I didn't have masks, but I did have Jax in colorful, eclectic pajamas that perfectly fit his playful personality.
Jax enjoyed sitting on the old wooden work stool (although he didn't stay there long!). Sometimes he had his two pink stuffed bunnies sitting on his lap; sometimes he'd thrown them onto the studio floor. Sometimes, we took portraits of the two bunnies sitting by themselves. When you're a Jax having fun, there are so many things to try. In fact, that's one of his favorite sayings at this age: "Let's try!"
Among all of Jax's many faces during the session, this one with a small pleasant smile was one of my very favorites. I love how alert and engaged Jax is. You can tell by the swinging legs that he was enjoying our interactions. The multi-colored background and green stool coordinate beautifully with Jax's pink, green, and blue mismatched pajamas.
It's a lovely honest portrait of a playful little boy.
