11+1 PROJECT - AUGUST, MONTH 2:  

For the second engagement portrait in my 11+1 project with Katie and Thomas at the Winery at Bull Run, my idea was to incorporate juggling into the portrait.  

As my portfolio shows,  I'm not that into props, but the whole point of my 11+1 project is to try for different looks.  So I bought LOVE letters from Michael's and instructed Katie and Thomas in the art of juggling.  

They juggled like champs!  After many tries to get the timing and giggles just right, I captured the image that I had envisioned:  L in his hand, E in her hand, O and V floating in an arc between them about to be snatched by their free hands.  I loved it.  

But, to wrap up the session, I asked Katie and Thomas to pose with the LOVE letters any way they wished.  And the session got even better!

Of all the wonderful portraits we created together that session, this is my favorite, entitled "Katie and Thomas, August 2015."  It is not a pose I had suggested at all -- it's pure Katie and Thomas playfulness.  

And, I'm sure you can see the LOVE, too!
